(Basically what all happens after Inkdeath. All protagonists from the series still live so, anyone can control them.)
It was nearing dark. Shadowfire was preparing for his performance in the town square. His outfit had been mended just that morning and the fairies were gathering around him. "Hopefully a Night-Mare doesn't scare everyone this time." he thought as he pulled out some firecrackers for the children.

Nightingale was doing her usual listening to her "mother" scare the life out of a fairy. Nightingale herself started to sing in her enchanted voice only not to scare but to sooth. She let her voice ring out through the forrest from where she was. Dipping her feet in a pond and singing for it's inhabitants.

Shadowfire appeared before the people of the town and rubbed his hands together. Creating sparks that bloomed into fiery flowers where they landed and causing people to look in wonder.

Nightingale only left from her pond because her mother was wondering close to the near by village. "Mother...." she sighed. She distrusted people but unless they hurt her they weren't worth her mother's power. She slowly fallowed her mother out of the wood which bothered her greatly, and then she lost sight of the Night-mare that had raised her. All she had to do was wait for the screaming to start and fallow that. Then she would get her mother and go home this place was creepy.

Shadowfire stopped his performance when someone shouted, "Night-Mare!" and everyone who knew what that meant gathered up their children and ran screaming for their homes, leaving Shadowfire alone in the town square with a few others of the travelling entertainers known as the Motley Folk. "Dammit! I'm starting to think this gift is more of a curse." Shadow fire said to himself as, even the Fairies went for shelter.

Nightingale stepped into the square finding her mother. "Mother stop it. Is it not enough to scare the entirety of the woods?" she says her voice unwavering as the night-mare came close to her. "Come now. I hate human towns may we go home now and leave this place?" she spoke to the Night-mare in a friendly yet respectful maner. The minute the Night-mare began to leave Nightingale fallowed her long ash colored hair flowing out behind her as she walked with grace back to the woods.

Shadowfire heard the singing as well, as did the fire-elves, who had been lulled to sleep enough for Shadowfire to grab some of their honey. Which lets anyone speak with the flames. "Did one of the White Women find a voice?" he wondered, thinking only a daughter of death could sing so beautifully. If they could even speak.

Nightingale's mother listened to the child she had raised as she changed the song according to a request from one of the feries. This tune was more mysterious and hunting something that was a story to them. It was of love that had been lost of sorrow then of happiness. She placed her emotion into the right places in the song.

The feries started to make Nightingale giggle making the singing stop for a bit as they begged for her to dance. More and more inhabitants of the wood came to see. "Oh...has the moon risen already..." she pondered standing up her long braid going doen her back the top twisted in a bun as the rest hung. "Alright then what dance this time?" she asks the younger inhabitants.
Once she had an answer she started to sing again filling the wood with her voice. Slowly she started to dance gracefully in tune with the song. The song was supposed to be a duet but Nightingale sang the parts of it that went best together making a new song out of it that just sounded beautiful. Her audience watched intently as she gracefully spun and returned to her dance her eyes closed as she let her voice go and her body fallow the music.
