Alright. This is set in the Dark Ages. You are part of a rebellion, seeking to overthrow the tyrant kingbefore he becomes so powerful, that none, not even a god, can stop him.
Vex sighed as he walked through town. He kept his face and the brand of the Shadow Knights hidden by a black robe, hoping that none would recognize him while he searched for likely recruits for the rebellion.

(OOC: If not even a god can stop him, what chance do mortals have? XD) ___________________________
Another hammer-blow against the anvil. Another drop of sweat that fell from his brow onto it. He cursed, wiping his face.
This was a commission for the king himself, even though Brand hated him. Brand needed the business, though, and he was promised a good sum of gold should he complete his task. In the end, he had received a small portion of money from the king's messenger first, to give him incentive to actually make the weapons. It was to be a very grand weapon, a brutally-spiked set of chakrams. Brand had forged such weapons before, but not so ornate as this. If he messed up, he would have to start over. There was no time limit for this, but Brand worked with a sense of urgency. If this weapon was less than perfect, he could easily be beheaded.
So far, the weapon proved to be a glorious one indeed, at least in terms of brutality. Brand eyed the weapon with distaste, thinking of the horrendous wounds such a weapon would inflict on armored and unarmored opponents alike.
He looked up to see a cloaked figure walk by his smithy. He shrugged and continued to work - perhaps a mercenary? He cared not.

Vex stopped, then turned and went back to the smithy. He'd remembered that it had been quite a while since his sword had been sharpened, and his armor could do with a few repairs as well. "'Scuse me." he said as he placed his sword on the counter, then removed the cloak to reveal his dented body plates and a skull mask covering his face. "I need these repaired." When he removed his gauntlets, he revealed a brand of the King's elite knights, which he quickly tried to hide.

Brand was known for his sharp eyesight, and caught the stranger's attempts to hide his identity, though he didn't comment. "I need to complete these weapons for the king," he said. "That has to come first, else I could lose my head. I can always put your name in a queue, and you'd be immediately after the king's job." He pulled out a sheaf of parchment, a quill, and an ink jar. "However, I would like to truly know who I'm working for - a man wearing a mask such as that must have a reason to hide, and I don't work for criminals."
