The Journey to the Ledgendary Draconian Blade

Raive looked him in the eye. "Around violence, Samuel, he comes out. I can't control him any better than you can control Samuel. How are the burns, by the way? You look better."

Truthfully, he felt guilty about the fire. But at the same time, it was necessary to stop Xavier from killing Jade.

"I value Jade, so I had to do something that would not only hurt, but distract you. Hence the fire. But you can't do any more damage because I have Mysherra now. So even if Xavier were to take control of you, I'd simply knock you out and revive you shortly thereafter."

[Aaron]

" Raive ........... " she says trailing off " Your a good friend " she then says with a smile, then suddenly passing out from being tired.

[cobra]

Samuel smiled, "My fur is still growing back slowly, but the burns don't hurt anymore..." he looked at Jade, "I... I know you value Jade. I don't want Xavier to hurt her, or Jakal, not even you. To be honest... you all are the first few people to come back and speak to me after two incidents with him," he sighed, "Everyone else either... died by my hands, or got injured to the point where they don't want to be near me... I just want.. I just want to be happy. I just want to be happy and make everyone around me happy."

Jade smiled, "Samuel..." she said, getting up from her chair, wrapping her arms around the quiet boy, "We understand. I'm happy now. I'm happy that you're okay." she giggled.

Samuel looked into the caring purple eyes of the Kisiyume before he looked away, blushed, and whimpered shyly.

Jakal looked over at Sammy, "I can't blame her for passing out..." he chuckled, "Go on, Raive. Give the kid some affection. I'll get Sammy."

Sammy was out cold she hadn't realised how tired she was

Raive couldn't do as Jakal said. He wanted to like Samuel, but it was somewhat by his doing that Shadow Raive came out. In a way, Samuel reminded Raive of his own condition. Both became unstoppable killing machines, and neither of them could control it.

Raive swallowed another bite of food and sighed, getting up and looking Samuel straight in the eye. "I'll say this. I'm not going to apologize for what I did. Nor am I going to pity you for your condition. With that said, however... I understand your pain." He rested a hand on Samuel's shoulder. Raive knew he was being a hardass, but something about Samuel didn't feel right, even when he was nonviolent. "I think we need to get some rest, though. C'mon, guys. Thanks for dinner; it was good." In truth, he longed for fresh fare such as fruit and uncooked fish. He did enjoy eating cooked food, but tonight was different.

Sammy was still sleeping nothing could wake her up when she really needed or wanted her sleep

Samuel nodded, "I'll show you to your rooms for tonight." Samuel got up, while Jakal picked Sammy up before he escorted everyone upstairs to the guest bedrooms. They were quite the regal rooms, with the gold and white decor. Jade smiled happily, running into her room and flopping onto her bed. Samuel showed Jakal his room, before he guided him to Sammy's room, where Jakal placed the sleeping girl in the bed. He told Samuel he was going to stay up a moment, before he left the child's room.

Samuel, finally, made it to Raive's room, showing him the bed and everything, "I hope you enjoy everything that is provided here," he said, "I...I'm sorry for what happened back at the temple and at the shore. It's just that..." Samuel stopped, before he turned away shaking his head, "No, never mind. Sorry..." Samuel's ears pricked up when he heard the door unlock, "That must be my brother. I hope you're comfortable." With that, Samuel hastily left Raive.

"No wait, Samuel..." but it was too late. He had gone. Raive sighed, looking at his room. It was too grand for him. He and Spirit had their own house now - Spirit had told him one had been provided for them because of their child - but this was just so big and... it wasn't his home. Nevertheless, Raive took off his clothes and laid down on the bed, going to sleep in short order.

Sammy stirred and jumped up " ah I fell asleep sorry!! ......... uh um where am i and what happened?" she says confused.

The night had been fair and satisfying to those that stayed awake in the night, but for Jakal, it was a recon mission. Samuel left Raive's room, figuring Jakal had gone to sleep, but he was in hiding in a closet. When the clock chimed 10:30pm, that's when Jakal made his move and took off into the halls to find Jade, already asleep in her room. Jakal peeked into her room, silently calling her name.

"Pst... Jade!" he whispered, walking into Jade's room, "Are you awake?"

Jade moaned deeply, squirming in her sleep, "Oh... you think you can take me...? mmh... Okay... if you so eloquently..."

Jakal blushed deeply, making a face, "JADE!" he shouted quietly.

"Ah! I'm up!" Jade shouted back, opening her eyes to see Jakal, before she sat up and lifted the covers up to cover her bare chest, "Jakal! What are you doing here?!"

Jakal shushed Jade quickly, "Ssssh! Listen to me, We gotta find some information on this Richard dude. I know it's late, but it's the only time I think that he'll be open for investigation."

Jade narrowed her eyes, "You think he's hiding something?"

"Samuel never said much about his brother, didn't you notice?"

Jade nodded, "That's true... but this late...? Did you wake Raive?"

"No. He still doesn't trust me too much... I figured that he'd go back to sleep annoyed if I brought up this matter. You're the only one I can trust, really..."

Jade blinked, then smiled, "How sweet."

"Yeah, thanks..." Jakal murmured, impatient, "Now, c'mon, let's go!" Jakal pulled the covers off of Jade's body, only to see that all she was wearing was the fur on her body. He closed his mouth wanting to yell in embarrassment, blushing hard. Jade's smile widened, "You like what you see?" she said, posing sexily.

"I'm not going to lie..." Jakal started, annoyed, a stream of blood pouring from his nostril, "You do have a gorgeous body that I would love to have with me for a night or two, but right now is serious... please put some clothes on."

Jade had got on some clothes, before the two set off to venture the mansion for clues. They snuck high and low in the mansion, looking left and right for any clues. They suddenly halted when they heard voices coming from the library. Jakal snuck over to the side of the hall of the library, along with Jade, listening to the conversation.

"So you put them to bed?" said one voice. It was Richard.

"Yes, brother," Samuel's voice spoke, "They're probably asleep now."

"Good... I need Xavier. Kill them and take their weapons."

Jakal narrowed his eyes, as Samuel gasped.

"K-kill them?" Samuel retorted, "But..."

"I know you can't do it, so I want Xavier. Bring him to me now."

Samuel's voice choked up suddenly, "I-I can't get to him!"

"You can't get to him?" Richard snarled. A thump and a yelp was heard from Samuel, "You better not be lying to me, little brother!"

Samuel whimpered, "I'm not! The Draco Spirits sealed him away for this day! I can't get to him at all!"

Richard growled, stalking away from Samuel, "Unbelievable... I'll just have to do it myself..."

"B-Brother!"

"Samuel... who was the one who hurt you?"

Samuel paused, "T-The Lugia..."

"And it's my responsibility to get back at the one who hurt my younger brother. Now, excuse me, I need to find my blade. Get some rest."

Footsteps walked out of the hallway, and away from where Jade and Jakal were sitting. They quickly snuck past the library before making their way downstairs near the museum, "That jerk!" Jakal murmured, "No wonder why Samuel is so defensive of his brother! He doesn't want to rat him out!"

Jade snorted, "He was trying to be nice to not be mean to his brother! That selfish prick!"

"There's gotta be something in here..." Jakal mumbled, walking into the museum and turning on the dimming light. There sat uncountable artifacts from temples, mines, and buried treasures. Jade gasped at the artifacts, going to various ones encased in glass.

"The Hitoshin Pendant..." She identified, walking around the museum, "The Kazin Knife... the Draconian Scepter... all of these are such obscure items... how did he get these?"

"Hey, take a look at this," Jakal said, pointing up at a pair of twin blades with runes on them, "These... These are parts to the Draconian Blade!"

Jade narrowed her eyes, "What's up with that? How and when did he get those?"

Jakal remembered that Richard had to leave, "Maybe he went to get the blade when he said he had to take off on a business trip..."

Jade picked up the blades, noticing a little reminder note in the stand. She picked up the note reading what it said quietly aloud:

May 19th, 2045 Entry no. 44

My parents have been gone for 10 years now. 10 years and I still haven't found the blade. My patience is growing thinner and thinner. Just to have a taste... a drop of the power the Dragons had... I would be able to empower the Rivers family name to be known across continents. My ruling would be what kings and queens would wish for. I'd be able to control the government to do my bidding. I would become king of the entire world, continent across continent... Everyone would do my bidding as my loyal servants... my word will be law... I would have the status of a god. It's only a matter of time and patience...

Jade's eyes widened at what she read the entry, "He wants power... just to control everything!"

"Am I interrupting something?" a voice spoke from behind the two. Jade and Jakal both whipped around to see Richard, walking into the Museum with sword and scabbard in hand, "You know it's impolite to roam nosily in people's homes..."

Jakal growled, pulling Pandora out and locking onto him, while Jade pointed one of the twin blades at him, "You selfish bastard!"

Richard raised his eyebrows, "That's all you have to say? I expected more. Yes, I want power I want power more than you both can grasp with your puny little hands. I'll do anything to get it. Even if it means killing you all." He drew his sword, which was a non-threatening short silver blade.

Jakal made a face, "How are you going to fight with that--" Jakal was cut off when Richard swing the blade, sharp whips of air cutting through the glass and the wall. The sharp whips came multiple times, even when Richard swung the sword once. Jakal's eyes widened, shocked at what the sword could do. Richard smirked, "I'll give you a ten second head start to run."

Jakal took no time. He grabbed Jade, took up Pandora and bolted from the museum. Richard chuckled coldly, before he used his rocket shoes to fly off and chase them.

"Raive!!" Jakal shouted through the mansion, charging off on Pandora, holding Jade close, "Raive, Sammy!! Wake up!!"

[Eiva]

Back in their room across from the temple Sioda was still wide awake. He jumped when Eiva stirred "Eivs? honey you ok!?" He goes over to her paniked checking all of her vitales. Eiva weakly swatted him.

[Aaron]

Sammy jumped at hearing Jade scream her name she was scared " Jade ! " she screamed opening her door " w-what happened ?".

Raive took some time to awaken - he had fallen deeply asleep and the food hadn't helped. He got up to their yells slowly, but once he was awake, his eyes bolted open. Had Xavier come out?

He quickly cleaned off his clothes by shaking them free of dust and he put them on, holding the Fragment in his hand and his pistol in the other. But then, for good measure, he rummaged around in his backpack and came up with Mysherra. He'd kill that traitorous bastard...

He uncapped the pen, the gem glowing brightly. When he walked out of the room, he was surprised to see Jade and Jakal running - with Richard and a silver sword in tow. Raive narrowed his eyes, immediately scanning Richard's mind. What he found made him gasp in outrage. He wanted to kill them! And most likely Raive himself as well.

Raive stepped out between the two parties and drew with Mysherra several times, causing slashes in the air that gouged the wall. He then took several shots with his pistol before fleeing as well - as with Mysherra, he felt definitely uneasy with the blade in Richard's hand.

[Aaron]

Sammy took her bag and ran out of the room " Jade!, Jakal!, Raive! where are u whats going on?"

Jakal flew wildly with Jade in tow away from Richard, reflecting and cutting the walls along with the projectiles Raive threw at him, "Raive!" Jakal shouted, "Keep up with us!"

Jakal dodged the blade slashes, before noticing Sammy running about the mansion. Jakal quickly grabbed Sammy by the collar, pulling her up onto Pandora, making extra space for her, before flying down the stairs and out of the door.

"This is it!" Jakal shouted, flying up, and away, "We're outta here!"

Richard smirked, "You're not getting away that easily," he suddenly skidded, winding his blade back, twisting around and swinging the blade, sending out a grand wave of razor sharp air, blades of stone tearing winds following it.

Jakal cursed, veering off path of the winds, but not fast enough. Jade was cut by the grand wave, her side being cut deeply. She let out a scream of pain as the air whipped through a cathedral, cutting the top of it clean. The extra winds whipped at Raive's hand, forcing him to let go of Mysherra or loose his hand.
