So! This particular RP takes place in a resort world that's connected with every single world in existence. Think of it as a vacation destination that only a select few get to go to.
Your characters are they. However, there are rules, and I will list them here...

Brenden sighed as he sat down at his computer. "Spring break... finally. Couldn't come sooner." He booted it up and started to surf the internet. He came to DeviantArt and checked his messages. And there he stopped. A message saying, "You have been selected. Click here for details." Noting that DeviantArt really wasn't a breeding ground for computer viruses, he clicked it and was sent to an alternate page where he saw a beautiful, sprawling complex on a beach. A video turned on. "Welcome to Hyperreality Resort. This one-of-a-kind location is special; it is connected to every world in existence."
Brenden paused, letting that sink in. "Multiple worlds... is this
some kind of joke?"
He went to close the video, only to find that there was no close button. He resumed the video. "You have been selected to be part among the first visitors here. This incorporates state-of-the-art technology that will remove you from your current world and place you in the check-in area. While at the resort, no time will pass in the original world you came from. You will be given seven full days to enjoy the resort to the fullest. However, memories of this resort will fade once you leave, and cameras and other recording devices will not work as this resort must remain secret. No preparing is necessary; you will find all you will need in your room, including swimwear and normal clothes."
Brenden paused the video again. "This must be some kind of joke. How could this be true, with this technology?"
As if to answer his question, a "contact employee" button appeared on the screen. "Must be voice-activated. Now that I can believe." He clicked it to go into a video chat with a smiling man. The man spoke. "You are the actual first to come into a video chat with me. You are Brenden, correct?"
Brenden was a bit scared. "Yeah... you're not going to like, come to my house and steal my shit or kill me, right?"
"Not at all, Brenden. I know this sounds too good to be true, but it's true. Take a look." The man aimed the webcam out a window and Brenden saw the resort for himself.
But Brenden wasn't convinced. "Are you like, going to find my credit card information and steal it from me?"
"The resort's funding is backed by very influential people from multiple worlds. I believe there's someone on your world that's supporting us as well. A certain Bill Gates, correct?"
"Wait, so he knows?"
"Yes. He's been here, and he would tell you so as he retained his memory of the resort. But he would only be allowed to tell you and nobody else, since you've been chosen. Brenden, you won't get this chance ever again. It's free."
Brenden locked his door. "All right then, sir. I'll do it. What's your name?"
"My name is James, but call me Jim."
"All right, Jim. So what do I do?"
"Just watch the video to the end, and at the end a command prompt will appear saying yes or no. Click yes and you'll be instantly teleported here."
Brenden nodded and thanked Jim, and resumed watching the video.

Meanwhile, worlds away, Setsuna had closed the library and was heading back upstairs to go to bed. But you wouldn't know it was bedtime because the sun never sets in Twilight Town.
But Setsuna was stopped; his computer suddenly booted up. Letting out a "humph" of annoyance, he walked back down to turn it off, only to see a picture of the resort on the screen. "What the hell...?" he went to close the image but there was no close button. Instead, the video that Brenden, worlds away, was viewing popped up. Setsuna sat back down at the computer and was given the same speech that the video gave Brenden. He, too, clicked "talk to an employee" and someone else, a woman, named Jane explained the prospect to him. Having already been on other worlds, Setsuna readily accepted this offer and waited.

More worlds away, Raive was sleeping with his mate Spirit in their beach cave. In his dreams, he saw the resort. In his dreams, he saw the "video".
He had less trouble accepting it than Brenden but more than Setsuna. "Will I be able to take my mate with me?" The man, Robert, nodded. "Yes. In fact, she's dreaming the same dream. However, she will have to come later. While she's invited, her invitation really doesn't come into effect until a day into the trip. Of course, this means she'll have slightly less time. But you've wanted to get out for so long, right?"
Raive nodded. "You have a point. Very well, I'll take you up on it." Unlike Setsuna and Brenden, Raive didn't have money or possessions of the sort, so he had nothing to lose.

The command prompt came up for Brenden. Brenden hovered the mouse over the "yes" command, hesitated for one, quick second, and clicked. "Please wait. Do not move from your seat."
It happened so quickly. The room darkened to black for a split second and then his vision slowly came back. He was sitting in a chair that one would find in the front desk area of the hotel. He got up and cautiously walked over to the front desk, and Jim walked in from a door behind the desk. "Ah, Brenden, so glad you could make it. Now, since there are multiple worlds connected, you may see things you've never thought possible. Two more people will be here shortly. You three will form a loose group and you will share the same room. Please, sit." Brenden sat down in the large room.
Soon, someone else appeared. He was human... except for his canid ears and tail. Setsuna walked up to the counter. "Where is Jane?"
Jim replied, "I'm taking her place. She's talking with other guests. I'm glad you could join us, Setsuna, please go sit next to Brenden." Setsuna nodded briefly and sat down next to Brenden. Brenden couldn't help but stare at Setsuna's animalistic features. "What the hell are you looking at?"
"They're real? He wasn't kidding when he said I would see otherworldly things."
Setsuna sighed. "You're obviously not from Twilight Town. Where are you from?"
"Earth." Brenden held out his hand. "My name is Brenden... we're waiting for a third person to come, we'll all be sharing a room."
Setsuna looked at Brenden's outstretched hand, waited a few seconds, and shook it. "Setsuna. Pleasure to meet you." His lack of tone indicated that it was anything but a pleasure.
Brenden sighed and looked at the other chairs - just in time to see an anthro Lugia form in it! Brenden jumped. "Ah! What! That's a...!"
Setsuna placed a firm hand on his shoulder. "Brenden, calm down. I've seen things like this before, but obviously you haven't. It's not a big deal."
Brenden shook his head. "Their world is connected here, too? The Pokemon world?"
Raive ignored them talking and went up to the front desk. "You're not Robert."
Jim nodded. "He's busy with other guests. But now that you're here, your group is complete." He indicated Setsuna and Brenden. Setsuna raised a hand - but Brenden was having a hard time composing himself. Oh my God. They're real. Holy s***. And I'm getting to live with one for seven days.
Raive walked over to Setsuna and Brenden and nodded at both of them. "Good to meet you both. I'm Raive." Setsuna held out his hand and Raive took it with his non wing-hand. "Pleasure." Setsuna sounded slightly more sincere this time.
But when Raive got to Brenden, he looked at Brenden curiously. "Your mind is excited about... me? Why is that?"
Brenden exclaimed, "Hey! Why are you looking into my mind?"
Raive shrugged. "Oh come on, it's evident to people who don't have my talent as well."
Setsuna spoke up. "Yeah, even I could tell..."
Brenden held out his hand to Raive. "I'm Brenden. It's a real honor to meet you, Raive, it really is."
Jim spoke up. "Please, all of you, be seated. The rest will arrive shortly."
They did so and waited.
(OOC: Damn, that was a long post... I'm not expecting you guys to make as long posts as I just made. That was a sort of introduction thing.)
Your characters are they. However, there are rules, and I will list them here...
- Only three characters at a time are allowed (per RP'er).
- You may swap out characters as you wish, but you must make a valid entrance (for the entering character) and a valid excuse to leave (for the exiting character) such as "Well, I heard one of these restaurants was pretty good so I'm going to go check it out."
- You may use any characters you want.
No senseless violence like bar fights. No violence, period.- No double-posting or alternating posting. An example of alternating posting would be, "raive's post" "cobra's post" "raive's post". We're all guilty of doing it at some point, but try not to let it happen here. Alternating posting is acceptable if only two RP'ers are present. Hell, that's what you have to do! XD Also you may alternate-post if nobody seems to be responding.
- You may only swap out one character per post.
- Some people have characters using the same name, such as Ace (no offense, bro). If you're planning on using characters with the same name, add "fur Ace" (if the character is a fur) or "Star Fox Ace" (if the character is from the Star Fox RP) or even just "human Ace" (if you're RP'ing as yourself!).
- If you do RP as yourself, you don't know your characters. Act as if you've never met them before.
- This is entirely non-canon to any RP currently going on.
- Respect each other.
- Have fun, all right?
