Raive grimly cocked his pistol. "The one thing we can do, Jade. I'm going to take the pen from him. Stay here." He hid his presence with psychic energy and stalked up behind the figure. In a few quick movements he disarmed the figure, tripped him, and pressed the fragment of the Draconian Blade against his neck. "Well, it turns out that you're weak against my traps. How odd." He pressed the blade more deeply into his opponent's neck, drawing blood. He tossed the pen to Jade. "Keep this and make good use of it. As for you... get up, you sorry son of a b****."
Good job. He is unworthy. Through your actions, Jade will have her splinter of the blade.
Raive glanced up towards the blade was. The voices called out again, this time to Jade and the figure. Jade Mirrors... the blade calls... will you answer?
Meanwhile, the Lugias finished healing Jakal. We're done. That should do it. While the wound was clean and smooth, it was scarred, a long, straight line, and no fur would grow there ever again. The door slid open again. Go, and find your friends. All of you.

Eiva was as close to that darkness as she was getting her ears flatted down there was no way she could go into the dark and not losse what little sanity she had left. Years of being in her fear had made it worse sometimes she couldn't even sleep in the dark.
Sioda moved forward only a little to better see what was going on in there.

Jakal got up and grabbed Pandora, snarling, "Sonva bitch is gonna get blasted!" And in her went. Thankfully, the "cool down" for the traps lasted long enough for him to pass through.
Jade took the pen and looked deep into the eyes of his attacker getting up, shaded over with anger, before she looked at the blade. The shield opened for her and there the blade sat, the splinter had the appearance of a rapier. Just before her finger touched the sword's hilt, missiles came flying in, blowing up some of the structure of the room, causing it to crumble slowly. Jade screamed, dropping the pen to see Jakal, his weapon poised, "Where is he?!" he shouted.
The figure took this moment of sudden calamity to stomp (OOC: Raive does have him in that sort hand-cuff position right?) on Raive's foot and break loose from his grip, rolling to grab his pen before he grasped the blade. But the image didn't appear for him. For he wasn't worthy of the blade's power, he couldn't unlock the next area to go. But that didn't matter, he had to escape through the midst of Jakal's firing. Using his shoes, he flew around the room, dodging Jakal firing wildly, until one of his missiles flew and hit the ceiling, making an opening for him. Jakal and Jade watched as the boy glared at everyone, when suddenly, through the crumbling exterior, his icy blue eyes softened into guilty deep sea eyes. He spoke, his voice tinged with regret, his eyes dripping with tears, "Please..." he said softly, "Please forgive me for what Xavier has done..." he dropped the part of the blade, wiping his eyes, before he flew off out of the temple, the rumbling coming to a stop.
Jade blinked, confused. He had the blade... why did he give it away? And who is Xavier? She hesitantly picked up her splinter, the next temple appearing in an area underground, in a city of two legged creatures with no fur and industrial technology. Humans...

Eiva disliked being in temples they were always so dark. "Sioda you think we can go now?" she asks a bit of fear tangling in her voice.
"Lets wait a little for Jade and the others her.." he says handing her a lit orb. "this should help."

Raive yelped as his foot was stomped and he jumped away from the boy as the missiles exploded around them.
Everything happened too quickly after that; the boy got away. "Jakal! Dammit man, look what you did! Because of you, he got away." He sighed. "At least you're all right."
The Lugias' concerned voices assailed his mind. Are you all right? What happened to the temple? We heard explosions... Do you have the boy?
Raive answered calmly; he answered each question as it came up. We're all right. As for the temple, the clumsy oaf Jakal fired on it and caused some explosions. You'll have to talk with him about that. As for the boy, we would have had him... if it hadn't been for Jakal as well. But then... the boy seemed... sorry. He seemed to be sorry for what he had done.
Meet us outside.
Yes, sir.
Raive stood up. "Come on, then. The Lugias are concerned. That vision... underground... ugh, I hate dealing with humans. We might have to change form for this and I have this one ability. It's an illusion to fool enemies. You won't change, but they'll see a human and not a Kisiyume."
(OOC: Just to speed things up here...)
Once outside, the Lugias looked around critically; the temple seemed superficially damaged, but nothing serious. The Lugias, however, looked angry - at Jakal. The female glared down at him. This temple is sacred! How dare you defile it so! Through your actions, the intruder got away as well. What have you to say about this!

Eiva hid behing her brother and Sioda looked away not wanting to hear or see any of this. All spell weavers were skittish and easily frightened of even the smallest things.

Jakal snarled, stalking past the Lugia, "Get out of my way," he growled, grabbing his goggles.
"Jakal!" Jade shouted, "What the hell is--"
Jade suddenly found herself staring down the barrels of the quad-laser he almost used on Raive. The beam whirred, charging up for a blast. But he didn't fire. Jade looked over to the mechanical suitcase to see that underneath the blue tint of his goggles, his eyes were a mix between anger and sorrow. His teeth were grit together, as if he wanted to fire and not have the blame put on him. IN his mind, it would have been so easy to pull the trigger and forget what happened. But his eyes held back the tears that would have been the guilt of killing off people who wouldn't turn behind his back and stab him. He changed Pandora back into the hove board and turned his back to the group.
"I..." he started, his voice conflicting with emotions, "I need to blow off some steam. I'll find you... when I'm done." and he flew off without another word from anyone.
"Jakal..." she whispered, silently watching him fly away before turning to the group, "It may not look like he was, but... he's sorry. He just wanted to protect us, but ended up getting carried away. He messed up." she looked to Raive for assistance in defending Jakal's actions.

Eiva looked after where Jakal had flown off. Coming out from behind her brother to face the Lugia even though she was afraid she was determined "Please....He isn't a bad person....Sioda and I would know if he was....I trust him." Eiva says causing a surprised gasp to escape her brother.
"Well if Eiva says it I agree whole heartedly. " if it was one thing they would it's protect someone they trusted.

Raive called after him. "Wait, Jakal, you didn't--" but then he was gone. Raive ground his teeth in frustration. "Ugh. He didn't have to do that..." nevertheless, he placed a tracer on Jakal's mind. Such a thing was blasphemy to do among his kind, but Jakal wouldn't know about it, hopefully. This way, Raive could keep track on him. And even though Jakal got farther and farther away, Raive called out, You still need your fragment of the Draconian Blade... but there were limits on how far he could cast his mind. Therefore, he didn't think Jakal could hear him.
Raive looked at the temple floor. "What he did... he got carried away and damaged the temple. This is a sacred place and he defiled it. I can't defend his actions, Jade, but by that same token, I can't attack him, either. He let his emotions cloud his judgment. And I know he was only trying to help. I forgive him, but the big question here is, will the elders here forgive him?" He looked at the elders.
The male who led them there spoke. I apologize, half-kin, but we will never forgive him for what he did. He made the vow to never speak of us. And he will not. But he damaged this most sacred place and allowed the holder of the cursed relic to get away. Did you say the intruder apologized to you?
"Yes, Elder."
Odd. Did you notice anything else about him?
"Yes, Elder. He seemed to speak with two voices at one point."
The Lugia looked troubled. Two minds in one body... beware. He may be a future ally for one moment, half-kin, and he may be your enemy the next. I would stay away from him...
Raive linked his mind with Jade's. I placed a trace on Jakal's mind. Where he goes, I'll know. It's anathema to the Lugia kind to do so, so don't speak of it to anyone.
The Lugia gestures to Jade's fragment. You have been chosen to wield a fragment of the blade, Kisiyume, Dream Dragon... how do you feel? His voice was kindly.

Eiva looked away and walked to where she was furthest from everyone else keeping her self closed. No emotions, no anything she wasn't doing it due to being upset it was because she need to concentrate on getting herself together. The Lugia's help had perviously freaked her out sending her rationality into oblivion. The dark had also given her some damage, but all in all she was afraid and couldn't think straight with everything happening over where her brother was. It made her sick and she was about ready to just give up, her shoulders hunched in confused indecision.
Sioda stayed where he was not move because he wasn't afraid of them. He disliked being treated as a child though he was. It was his emotions that had set Eiva off before, their bond was too close for comfort complete with telepathic communications and emotional connection. He just looked at everyone in disapproval as he thought, it was a mask for when he didn't know what to do and was on the verge of giving up.

The Lugia turned to behold the three children. As for you three... I do not see wielders of the blade in you. His eyes seemed to fill with a mixture of emotion. You are children... the Draconian Blade is a weapon that will not choose a child... there are other weapons, safer weapons, for children to defend themselves. But the Draconian Blade is not one of them.
The Lugia held up a wing. I cannot see into your very beings. I cannot determine if this is true or untrue, but should the Blade outright reject you, you could be killed by the backlash of power. This is a dangerous line you walk.
He focused on Sioda and Eiva. You two are under the control of a dark being. He will want you to go for the Blade to increase his power. The Blade will not cast him out of your mind; should you wish to be rid of him, you must seek him and kill him.
He then looked to Sammy. I cannot discern your purpose for wanting this blade. Enlighten me, child.
The Lugia was not trying to be unkind, but the Blade was a weapon that would not choose its wielder based on weakness. It was unfortunate that the girl, Eiva, was afraid of the darkness. And that would be what would stop her from handling one of the splinters.
Eiva... you must learn to control the darkness, rather than to let it control you. The Blade might choose you if you decide that you do not fear the darkness. You have time to decide, as Jakal is next to receive his splinter. Decide quickly, however; these are strong allies of yours, but you must aid them whenever possible. And that goes for you as well, Sioda, Sammy.
But then the Lugia saw that they were on the verge of giving up. Give up if you will. Your quest will be for naught.
Raive looked at Eiva, and his face contorted with anger; the Shadow was starting to wrestle with him for control. He stalked over to Eiva, looking down at her angrily. "You haven't helped a single damn bit. You three have all been extra weight. Have you dispelled traps? Have you fought? No! I fail to see why you even bothered to come with us!"
The Lugia looked at Raive in warning. Raive... do not let the Shadow control you.
Raive sat down, still angry at the children. "Give up, then. GIVE UP!"

"I WOULD IF I COULD! DO YOU KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE PUT UNDER THE CONTROL OF ANOTHER!?" she shouts back her eyes glowing red her fur tinging black "I HAVEN'T HEARD A SINGLE WORD OF MY OWN IN MY OWN MIND FOR 7 YEARS! 7 YEARS I SPENT SITTING IN A CAGE IN A DARK DUNGEN WAITING TO DIE!.....I CAN'T DO ANYTHING TO HELP BECAUSE I AM UNABLE TO USE MY MAGIC FOR FIGHTING!" tears started to slide down her face but she controlled herself better then it seemed "If.....If Alexander....If he finds out we even though of helping or sought help......Sioda......I JUST CAN'T LOSE MY BROTHER!" she shots finally admitting to the real trap she was in, if she sought help Alexander would kill Sioda with out a moments thought. With that Eiva used what little magic she had to summon a board and fly away as quickly as she could.
Sioda was shaking with rage, but unlike his sister he wasn't explosive and he wouldn't lose his temper to anyone. "You know what. Screw you. die for all I care. " he says his voice icy calm. He too walked off huffing in anger. No one ever understood children thats all we are.......all those years spent raising each other and all we are known as are children.......our race would be dishonored by such a notion at 16 years...to still be a child......and to have your true name used as a leash......a fait worse then death..... he thinks silently cursing ever being born into a world like this.
